The streets of Sofia, Bulgaria. This is my first time in Bulgaria. Sofia is an approachable, pedestrian friendly city with lots of reminders of her communist past. The food is incredible, the people are welcoming and the weather has been perfect. Looking forward to exploring more!
The bronze sculpture is of Milyo the Crazy. Milyo was the town jester and eccentric. Legend says that if you whisper your wishes into Milyo’s ear, they will come true.
If one person believes that Milyo grants wishes, you might be tempted to call this person crazy. But if billions of people believe your wishes come true by talking to a statue, it’s called religion.
