DROWNING
There were times when I thought I was being pulled under.
The stress. The failure.
The heartbreak. The loss.
I was gasping for air…keeping my head above water.
But then I realized:
Every wave that hit me, was making me stronger.
Every ebb and flow I thought would break me, was teaching me how to bend.
The coral and rocks that cut me, were helping me learn what to avoid.
Every time I was overwhelmed… I was actually growing.
Could it be that everything I thought was drowning me, was actually teaching me to swim?
The ocean of life isn’t here to destroy you.
But it can, if you let it.
When you feel the water rising…the waves hitting, the currents pulling;
Let it teach you that you’re capable of surviving.
Let the water teach you to swim.
